Swedish Relaxation Massage

The Ultimate Relaxation

Swedish Massage is an excellent way to relax and unwind away from the daily stressors and strains. Swedish Relaxation massage involves manipulating the muscles in a soothing rhythmic way thus relaxing tight muscles and promoting blood circulation.

Studies show that Swedish massage may help reduce symptoms of stress and anxiety, common issues I see frequently in clients.

You should also feel more supple and relaxed muscle wise after a treatment. Many clients report a reduction in feelings of stress, headaches and aches and pains and often admit to sleeping soundly the evening after a treatment!

In addition Swedish massage may also have the following benefits:

Mood booster. Swedish Massages have been found to improve mood by promoting the production of dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin. These hormones act to stabilize your mood, helping you feel happy and positive. A Swedish massage could also act to reduce the production of cortisol, a stress-causing hormone.

A reduction in muscle knots. Also known as adhesions, knots can be quite painful. The Swedish massage warms up the muscles and breaks down the tension gathered at the knots. If you have a severe case of adhesions, consider other, more intense types of massages - such as deep tissue..

Lymphatic drainage. Lymphatic drainage occurs naturally when you use your muscles. However, if for any reason you are not moving or using your muscles, the lymphatic fluid could accumulate. This could cause a build up of toxins. A Swedish massage can help manage this problem.

It's important not to view Massage as a treat that people often feel they need to "earn"as we are all worthy of feeling good and feeling our best. By incorperating regular massage into your wellness routine, as you would maybe a dental check up - you are giving yourself a clear signal that your self care matters. When we feel our best, it's much easier to deal with lifes many demands and stressors - and constant stress can have a negative impact on our mental wellbeing and physical health.

I recommend booking a massage for every 4-8 weeks depending on your needs, it has a cumulative effect when done regularly.
